Wellington City Highlights

Wellington has so much to see and do that it is not possible to cover it all in one day. So I have selected some well-known and iconic sights of Wellington and added in some out-of-the-way places to give you a feel for what Wellingtonians and Wellington City are all about.

On this tour, I will be your guide and I will also have a driver. This opens up some options which are not available if I was driving as well. Not the least of which is being dropped off at the entranceway to the different sights or spending time having to find a car park.

By the end of the day, you will know why Wellingtonians (especially me) are passionate about our little corner of the world.

ITINERARY

After a drive through the central city taking in Parliament and the Old Wooden Government Building we will pay a visit to the historic Old St Pauls Church. The native wood finish, stained glass windows and its peaceful nature make this a truly wonderful place to visit.

-Otari Wilton Bush Reserve is New Zealand 's only public botanic garden dedicated solely to New Zealand native plants. We will walk in the tree tops by way of the Canopy Walkway 18 metres above the forest floor.

-Next you will travel down in the cable car.

-A stop for lunch is followed by a drive around the rugged southern coast line.

-We will finish with a trip up Mt Victoria with views across Wellington and the surrounding countryside. And you will even get to see a Zephyrometer.

-If you haven't come across a Zephyrometer in your travels you might just have to join me and find out what it is. Should you have any requests for places to visit please let me know. This is your tour and I want to make it as enjoyable as possible for you
