The Cook Islands

We have options to suit every budget so check the bottom of the page for the best  accommodation option for you! Bex is an experienced guide and knows Rarotonga like the back of her hand - we also have our own van for transporting everyone around outside of tour excursions so we can truly experience the Island!   We do not believe in one hotel fits all and  like our clients to experience things their way -  hence why Bex will ensure everyone stays at places their budget and liking allows, providing transport in between for get togethers and drinks.

 

Day 1 Depart Auckland Airport  Wednesday 25th October (  for those outside of Auckland please see bottom of page)

9am flight departure with an arrival into Rarotonga  at 2.40pm on the 24th October (please note date line crossed)

After check in we will meet for welcome drink/nibbles and meal at the Ship Wreck included

 

Day 2  Wednesday 25th October -  Island Discovery Tour

Today is all about giving you an overview of Island life and the Rarotongan culture - put on your island shirt for this adventure as we make many stops along our 3 hour journey where we will learn about legends, history and todays culture complete with refreshments - Tour departs 9.45am

Dinner tonight is Charlies complete with entertainment and main meal included

 

Day 3  -Thursday 26th October -  Options Day

Today you can choose between tropical gardens and lunch OR something more adventurous a off road buggy ride through the islands backroads to waterfalls and more OR the Glass Bottom Boat Lagoon Cruise - note the Gardens Tour and Boat tour both include lunch

Dinner tonight is a Progressive Dinner - included

 

Day 4  Friday 27th October  Aitutaki Day Tour

This is the ultimate one day excursion – a day enjoying the magical turquoise lagoon of Aitutaki.

The tour includes return flights to Aitutaki, an Aitutaki Island Tour before a day of cruising the lagoon on the 70 foo double hulled traditionally designed catamaran.

Snorkeling and relaxing are main activities plus a fish BBQ lunch. The entertainment from your crew is outstanding and a licensed bar is available on board.

Dinner in Muri tonight included - local restaurant /cafe

 

Day 5   Saturday 28th October   Arts and Crafts of Rarotonga Tour

Today we will start our  journey by visiting the Islands Saturday Market before embarking on a 4 hour tour allowing  you the opportunity to visit many of the local factories, & souvenir stores around Rarotonga and a chance to meet a number of our local artists who are very passionate about their culture & history, we will visit several places including Perfumes of Rarotonga, for locally made souvenirs, perfumes and scented natural soaps.
The Rito Factory, a small family business that specializes in producing beauty and health products made with cold pressed virgin coconut oil.
The Beachcomber, an old colonial building which houses a number of boutique stores including a contemporary art gallery, pearl store and small café.
And to finish we will meet Tokerau Jim, a jeweler and one of the worlds top black pearl shell carvers, see his unique pearl jewelry settings on display. To end a spectacular day we take you to delight in a scrumptious lunch at the popular Mooring Fish Café - Lunch Included

Dinner Tonight is an Island Show complete with Fire Dancers included

 

Day 6 Sunday  29th October -Your Day Your Way

Today is all yours - choose to relax, take a walk/bike or hire a scooter, swim, snorkel, eat or drink this is your last day on the island

so enjoy it any way in which you  decide - we have a van so we can get you anywhere you wish.

Finale Dinner surprise location included

Day 7  Monday 30th  Home Time

Today we depart our Island Paradise and head back to Auckland - you will have the morning to yourselves to pack and say good bye to the Island - please note our arrival time is approx 6.30p,m on the 31st October

All flights are The Works - meal included with one bag up to 23kg

FLIGHTS TO AUCKLAND - if you require help booking flights to Auckland please let Bex know and she can take care of this portion

ACCOMODATION AUCKLAND - Novotel Auckland is our meet and greet point for those coming in the night prior to departing - we will meet for drinks and dinner from 5pm.

This is not included in the itinerary but can be added on if you require  for $350 per room.

Each villa consists of 4 br and 2 bathrooms so is suitable for singles/twin share or couples wanting either 2 bedrooms or are happy to share a bathroom with friends

Couples 2 br and 1 bathroom $9870 per couple - non sharing bathroom

Twin Share $4355 pp - please note you will be sharing a bathroom/bedroom
